What Is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative and increasingly popular alternative payment model for primary care
It eliminates the burden of insurance billing and reporting paperwork on both you and your healthcare provider. Using the DPC model, Forbes VIP Health, PLLC and thousands of other providers across the U.S. are making progress to improve the delivery of basic primary health care.
In a “pure” Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice such as Forbes VIP Health, PLLC there is no insurance “middleman” to divert your provider’s time and attention away from the focus where it should be—on you and your health care needs. This model allows your provider to spend more time with YOU and for YOUR care and allows patient and provider to develop a therapeutic relationship based on trust and mutual respect, without the “sticker shock” of primary care office fees/claims being unpaid by 3rd party payers and patients left with bills they didn’t expect.
There are no such surprises with our practice
Once you self-schedule your first DPC Enrolled New Patient appointment you will receive a payment link so you can enter information to pay your non-refundable enrollment fee, currently $50. Then at the time of your appointment you can provide the credit or debit card from which your monthly automatic payment for your plan will be deducted. Our plans are based on age of the patient as we have found this to be most fair to keep costs low for our patients while allowing us to continue to provide high quality primary care evaluations with free telehealth visits for members.
No Insurance Needed Nor Accepted
Direct Primary care is NOT health insurance.
While our practice recommends that individuals carry at least a catastrophic health insurance policy – something to cover the unexpected emergencies requiring, for example, surgery or hospitalization. If you have private insurance you can use that to pay for any labs or imaging or other tests that we may order for you or ask those labs or imaging providers for a “cash” or “self-pay” price. Since we do not contract with any health care insurance you would likely have an “out of network” status for any reimbursement for those services we order but do not directly provide.

Mobile Visits
In addition to being able to book telehealth appointments at no additional cost beyond your monthly subscription fee, patients who reside in our mobile visit service area may also choose to schedule a mobile visit in which the provider will come to your home or office to examine you in person. These visits are booked at your convenience and based on clinical indication and at an additional cost as follows

Currently our mobile visit service area extends along the southern border of NH adjacent to Massachusetts, from Nashua to Newton NH and based on demand the practice reserves the right to modify the mobile service area and will update our website accordingly.
